Lesson Plans
The Prison Museum Association is pleased to present lesson plans for public and private schoolteachers, homeschoolers and anyone else up for a challenge. Much of the lessons can be completed by using data which can be found on our website. The best use of the plans, however, is as part of a field trip tour of the Museum. Guided tours for student groups can be arranged by emailing the Prison Musem Association at info@pma1811.net or calling the museum at 609-288-6372.
The Historic Burlington County Prison is a National Historic Landmark which is a must-see for those interested in history, law, architecture, penology, sociology and any number of other subjects. It is easily accessible from Exit 5 of the NJ Turnpike and Interstate 295 and there is ample parking.
